I have a PCM code that is not listed P1 336 can anyone help.
I cannot clear this code either.

If the code is P1336 then

That is the crank position sensor is not calibrated so that the PCM knows the sensors position.

Crank (CKP) Sensor Relearn Process
Requires a PCM scanner to command the PCM to enable CKP system variation learn fuel cutoff and allow the crankshaft position system variation compensating values to be stored in the PCM.
The PCM must detect an engine speed of 5,150 RPM during the Crankshaft Positon System variation learn procedure in order to store the crankshaft position system variation compensating values and complete the procedure.

NOTE: By not doing a valid CKP test, engine misfires can occur until crank positon is known by the PCM.

Other reasons

Hi there,
Your P1336 is usually due to the fact of variations of the signal itself, which will be a kind of a square sine wave of electricity. A the rear signal ring is a casting installed on the back of the crankshaft, they are never perfect.
The variation relearn is to allow the PCM to know the imperfections of this signal, and not to misinterpret the signal as a misfire occurance.
We are instructed to do the relearn if we replace the CKP sensor, as John pointed out. Also, if the PCM is reprogrammed, the variation is not remembered.
So, just have your local dealer do the relearn, and it will not take more than 5 mins, once the car is at operating temperature.

Engine timing is done in part via the crank and cam position sensors and if the crank one is out of sync with the PCM it would effect overall hw the engine is running.

I'd resulve that DTC error ASAP. Let's hope it just has to be calibrated, a tech with a tech II can give a comand and cause the re-cal process to be done fot that sensor.

Thanks guys.
Would this effect the AFR?
