$700 to wash the radiator and condenser?

Hi guys.
I have owned my '04 C5 Z06 (my first Corvette!!) for two days now,
and took it to the local dealer to get a mirror fixed. He strongly
suggested that it was time to remove the radiator and condenser,
and power wash it to remove any/all accumulated cruft, and replace
it, and fill with new coolant. Would you expect to pay $700 for this?

Thanks for helping the newest newbie, and I am humbled by the
size and closeness of the Corvette community!

Just say no thanks, don't ever go back there. It is good to get down on the ground, reach up in the front of the radiator from the bottom, and remove all the leaves and other junk with your hand. The C5 is a bottom breather, it's like a vaccuum for the road, picks up all the loose stuff. But no way the radiator needs removed and washed. The dealer is trying to take your money.

Joe,
Run as far and fast away from that dealeship as possible! All I did was take air from my compressor, removed a couple of the top screws covering the radiator and blew out all the leaves and dead bugs. I then ordered the radiator protective screen from West Coast Corvette (SKU 17188140). This prevents the Z06 from sucking up a plastic bag. SInce I've done this the car has never come close to overheating. Hope this helps.

WOW!!!! In my 50 years of Corvette driving that is the "boldest" BS I have ever heard from a dealer. RUN< RUN< RUN and NEVER go back there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And GM wonders why we hate the their dealer network.:mah:
